Why is it important?

It shows how translators have the power to contribute to social, cultural and political changes in a given setting.

Perspectives

I have enjoyed researching about Hajji Baba, its Persian translator, and the whole story around its circulation. The research took me to Felsted (UK) where I tried to look closely into Phillott's legacy (actually found his grave which was unknown to the school archivist). The research will hopefully one day take me to India!
