What is it about?

A theoretical/philosophical look at the impact of technology on individuals, groups, and the interconnected world. There are some concrete suggestions as to what kinds of questions we should ask about the impact of a technology on all of us and encourages us to take a long term view.

Why is it important?

We assume that technology is inevitable and that the force is irresistible, We need to question our technologies: this does not imply that we are anti-technology, just concerned citizens.

Perspectives

I feel strongly about this issue and since I teach about technology in education and do some app development, I can hardly be considered anti-technology. We need to think critically about the long-term impact of what we are doing.
