What is it about?
We look at what seems like a simple thing to do, namely falling into a black hole. We examine the question of what you should do to maximize your life expectancy, just sit back and enjoy the ride, or ride a rocket to slow your descent. The results are that there is a sweet spot you should aim for to get the maximum proper time remaining.

Why is it important?
We consider what happens when you use a rocket below the event horizon of a black hole, showing the result to be very non-intuitive.
