What is it about?

The article provides an assessment of possible hazards arising on highways. The features of the operation of electric vehicles, their advantages and disadvantages are given. The design differences between classic cars and electric vehicles related to the change in the location of their center of gravity are described. The designs and features of electric vehicles are also described, their classification and comparison with cars with an internal combustion engine are given. The diagram of the action of forces arising from the collision of an electric vehicle with a guardrail on the highway is given. The strength of fences on motorways is considered. Calculations of the interaction of an electric vehicle and a road fence are presented. Some values of the collision energy of an electric vehicle with a guardrail are calculated and compared with the collision energy developed by a traditional car. Conclusions are drawn about the structural changes in the fencing systems. The paper describes the consequences of a collision, the main signs of an electric vehicle fire. The purpose of the work described in the article is to substantiate the development, design and use of fences on motorways in connection with the use of electric vehicles. The final part of the article provides practical recommendations for the development and effective use of fences on motorways.

Why is it important?

Thus, the article reflects the statistical data on the growth of the number of cars, highlights the reasons for the increase in the number of electric vehicles in the overall list of vehicles, describes the design of a typical electric vehicle, presents a classification of vehicles with electric energy elements, highlights the differences between electric vehicles and vehicles with internal combustion engines, and calculates the kinetic energies of an electric vehicle and a vehicle with an internal combustion engine.

Perspectives

When carefully examining the mechanics of electric vehicle ignition, it can be observed that vehicle ignition is not possible without a thermal acceleration stage. This process is a chain reaction of energy storage cells that begins with the heating of a cathode made of lithium-cobalt oxide, which subsequently releases oxygen-oxidizing electrolyte, as a result of which the temperature increases even more and this process is transferred to adjacent cells.
