What is it about?
Battery swapping station (BSS) came into existence to reduce user time during charging. At BSS EV users can replace their depleted battery in few minutes with fully charged one thus do not have to wait for long hours for charging. In the present work BSS required standards including battery design, dimensions, and connectors, technology involved, BSS comparison with charging station and challenges faced by BSS in the Indian market are discussed. How Artificial Intelligence is used to support of BSS is analyzed and ways for commercial implementation are suggested.
