What is it about?
This paper reviews new applications of big data analytics to solve decision problems in food supply chains. Some highlights include using big data applications to detect food adulteration or confirm authenticity of food products. Others include automated replenishment of vending machines using Internet of Things connected to a cloud server, sending remaining inventory position to the replenishment team to optimise the time and quantity of stock renewal.
