Integrating renewable energy resources (RES) into a microgrid, the gateway to a smart grid system, is an effective technique for increasing maximum safe instant RES penetration without significantly redesigning the existing system.

Perspectives
This study is interesting to discuss integrating RES into the grid by connecting to the microgrid. In order to obtain maximum RES penetration into the network, it is necessary to control the network parameters using a microgrid involving an AI algorithm based on one of the heuristic techniques. To obtain more practical results, optimizing high RES penetration involves various security and stability indexes of the system, which are considered internal constraints.
