What is it about?
It's about the process which can remove the coloring substances from the wastewaters obtained from the industries that use dyes as a colorant. The presence of dyes in water is hazardous for plants, aquatic life as well as for humans as the dyes are toxic in nature.

Why is it important?
This technique is simple to use and economical as it involves the usr of low pressure mercury lamp. The set up required is also simple in design and easy to set up. Also, the process is clean and eco friendly as it does not involve any sediments or precipitation.
Perspectives
I enjoyed working on this title as it can help to overcome the issues related to treatment of coloured wastewaters. The process has potential of replacing the currently used conventional methods. Moreover it has the potential for recycling and reuse of treated wastewaters.
