What is it about?

This article is about understanding and preference for public spaces during the Covid 19 pandemic in Jakarta, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that during the pandemic, people prefer open public spaces and commercial public spaces where they can buy their daily needs at the same time

The Covid 19 pandemic raised questions about how people use public spaces, with respect to health protocol provisions and social distancing restrictions.

Perspectives

Even though at this time the Covid pandemic has been sufficiently resolved by administering vaccines (research for this article was conducted in 2021 where the pandemic is still quite high), health considerations are still needed in designing public spaces in the future
