High school GPA is used in most cases to admit students in courses in universities. In this paper we investigated factors that influences GPA.

Why is it important?
This is very important especially in cultures where scoring high in exams dictates whether one is able to get a good job and make a better living. So, if parents are aware of these factors they can guide their children accordingly.
Perspectives
The revelation in this article that a mother's level of education significantly affects a child's performance at school was rather shocking to me, but it is an important factor especially in places where women are mostly confined to domestic chores.
