What is it about?
Doped materials are a promising materials have a great attention by many researcher groups for employ in a wide range of applications. For example, Ag doped hydroxyapatitepolyvinyl alcohol composite nanofibers and Co doped hydroxyapatites were used for tissue engineering and biomedical applications respectively. The chitosan doped molybdenum complex composite (MCC), which is regarded as a promising composite material in the fields of polymer chemistry [22]. Thus, using a material to doped polymers helps to modify their optical properties and surface morphology, especially when used as thin films for a specific application. The optical properties of materials are affected by a variety of factors, including preparation conditions and film thickness. The aim of this paper is to calculate the refractive indices and extinction coefficients of materials thin films using interference fringes of transmission spectrum were applied thoroughly in samples of higher thin film thicknesses ranging from 0.75 to 4.5 μm.

Perspectives
To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first time the optical properties of doped chitosan with MCC have been reported.
