This study set out to experimentally investigate if magnetic field topology affects the dynamics of the current-carrying line-tied plasma.

Using this kind of configuration from this study, we believe that many fusion and astrophysical phenomena such as accretion disks and astrophysical jets can be more thoroughly studied.

Perspectives

The initial experimental results showed that the strength and topology of the magnetic field played a crucial role in the discharge characteristics and dynamic behaviors of the current-carrying line-tied plasma.
