What is it about?
Precast element is often chosen as a substitute for cast in place system and needs a lightweight element. One of a lightweight and rigid type of floor that has been used at an ordinary cast-in-place system is stiffened or ribbed slab. The stiffness problem during lifting and transporting increases when the ribbed slab is made in the form of precast concrete. To overcome these problems, filling the gap spaces between the ribs with lightweight bricks is an effective innovation

Why is it important?
To overcome these problems, filling the gap spaces between the ribs with lightweight bricks is an effective innovation developed in this experiment. The lightweight bricks can increase stiffness without much weight gained. The novelty of the study is simple mould for grid slab, and lightweight of slab density. The average slabs density was 1700 kg/m3, compare to normal slabs density 2000 kg/m3. ( in one paragraph)
Perspectives
I hope the results of this study are useful for the development of lightweight precast concrete
