What is it about?

This helps to measure light scattering from aerosol particles, to measure the size of the scatterer. Very useful in aerosol science and light scattering world.

Why is it important?

This setup help to measure scattering simultaneously throughout the whole angular range. This is based on novel optical scheme.

Perspectives

This is the only setup in the light scattering world that can measure scattered light in such a wide angular range that is from an extreme forward scattering range(0.32 degree) to backscattering range (177.6 degree). Since, light scattering is dominated by the larger size particles, it is important to measure the size of the scatterer while measuring the scattering due to aerosol particles. This is facilitated by this setup. A great setup!!!
