What is it about?
Pedestrian accidents contribute to 28 % of total deaths of traffic accidents in Magelang. This percentage is 13 % greater than the average percentage of Indonesia. The objective of this research is to find out the main variables that significantly influence the severity of pedestrian accidents and the road location with the highest frequency of pedestrian accidents in Magelang.

Why is it important?
The study is conducted using the Ordered Probit Model method. The results show that the variables that significantly influence the severity of pedestrian accidents are the light and age variables, the worse the light and the older the age the more significant its influence to fatality rate of pedestrian accidents. The results of this study can be a reference for stakeholders to determine accident management policies.
