What is it about?

A Hamiítonízation procedure valid for both singular and nonsinguiar mechanics is proposed. A comparison with Dirac's theory (for singular systems) is developed.

Why is it important?

Our approach unifies, into the sarne formaiism, singular and nonsingular problems. It is worthwhile to compare our approach to the well-known Dirac theory for singular mechanics. As a final remark we observe that our technique of Hamiltonization contains the usual one whenever it exists, and defines a new Hamiltonization procedure whenever the usual one cannot be applied.
