What is it about?

We use the change in resonance frequency of a quartz crystal to determine the mass of a graphene layer, while it is being etched.

Why is it important?

With this method we can determine the mass of graphene and also check if there is contamination on top, below or in-between the graphene layers. We can also use it to determine the etch rate of graphene and of the contamination.
