Why is it important?

The absorption and emission in THz range is high and universal for many carbon tubes and graphene ribbons.

Perspectives

This works provides a simple theoretical model for understanding the properties of tubes and ribbons under small intrinsic strain and it justifies the mechanism of THz emission and absorption in nearly metallic tubes and ribbons.
