Why is it important?

Modern power systems need to be resilient against unprecedented disturbances. This article addresses the issues that power system need to address to become resilient.

Perspectives

I wrote this article to explain the whole idea of resilience in power systems. It was a great pleasure to write this detailed article. This is one of the first articles which links the definitions, characteristics and frameworks of power system resilience to actual research being carried out by researchers on this topic. In doing so, it gives the reader a very clear picture of power system resilience and how microgrids are necessary to achieve a resilient power system.
