What is it about?

We have developed a system generating high-temperature and high-pressure conditions using a diamond anvil cell and infrared laser. We have demonstrated to install this system into an inelastic x-ray scattering beamline.

Why is it important?

The system introduced in this article will open opportunities of measurements at high-temperature and high-pressure conditions not only for synchrotron beamlines which are not specialized to measurements on materials under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.
