What is it about?

WRe thermocouples can be calibrated by comparison with indications of standard platinum-rhodium thermocouple only up to 1700 ℃, but their upper measuring limit is 2500 ℃. The paper descibes original method of further calibration of WRe thermocouple up to its upper limit of measurements

Why is it important?

To measure temperature properly you should be sure that your probe indicates real temperature value. The paper shows how it can be done in the whole temperature measuring range of WRe thermocouple.

Perspectives

Production of accurate high-temperature probes will help to get reliable temperature control in such industrial applications as refractory metals and composite materials production, metallury, nuclear and aerospace applications.
