What is it about?
This paper discusses a method for exploring the big data of postgraduate students. The process started with data mining using SQL from the Students Information Management System (SIMS), which is the mainframe of the students' data. Then, the data were cleaned and presented. After that, post-process data was used to forecast the students' enrolment up to 2030.

This paper presents a method of data analysis for university management, which can be used to develop a strategic plan to identify the future research area, acquire suitable expertise, and upgrade the supporting facilities to accommodate future needs.
Perspectives
This paper presents a sharing of information on the exploratory data analysis that can be used by the university's management to develop its strategic plan. This paper has shared my experience as a university's management and how we have used big data and adapted it into our strategic planning.
