What is it about?

In this work, the effect of irradiation with two different energies of pulsed Nd: YAG laser on (1 M) of calcium chloride solution was studied by investigating the optical properties and chemical composition by both UV-visible spectrophotometer and FTIR technique. To know the extent of the ability of the laser to improve the material characterizations; so, the effect of the laser on the absorption, transmittance, and reflectivity spectra, as well as its effect on some optical constants and effective groups in the chemical composition of calcium chloride solution, was studied. The laser led to the regularity of the optical properties and constants curves and the decrease in the energy gap by the increase in the energy of laser. In addition, laser led to the appearance and disappearance of some peaks of the effective aggregates in the FTIR analysis.
