The aim of the study is to evaluate the open data format quality provided by the central government portals for four southern EU countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal) according to Tim Berners-Lee five levels evaluation model.

Why is it important?
It is important to assess the quality of open e-government data in four southern EU countries which have cultural, geographical, economic and social similarities. However, these countries are less digitally developed compared to northern EU countries such as Finland or Denmark.
