What is it about?
Over the past ten years, the world has faced challenges like pollution from human activities. In the construction industry, people are trying to help by making buildings that are good for the environment. For this purpose, a Czech certification tool called SBToolCZ was established to check how sustainable a building is. This paper compares an older version of SBToolCZ from 2011 with a new one made in 2022 to match the goals of the European Green Deal, a policy initiative, that aims to set the EU on the path to a green transition by 2050. The paper shows how they're different in measuring the environmental effects of office buildings, using six different environmental parameters. The article offers a look at what improvements have been applied to the new version of SBToolCZ and whether it works better for the environment.
