What is it about?
We describe the geometric phases during nonadiabatic radiofrequency pulses with Sine and Cosine amplitude and frequency modulation functions.

Why is it important?
The derived formalism could be extended for evaluation of the geometric phases during a wide class of amplitude and frequency modulated pulses used in MRI and in high resolution NMR.
Perspectives
The general formalism presented in this work can be critical for accurately detailing noninvasive MRI tissue contrasts in vivo obtained during the application of RF waveforms.
