What is it about?
Vegetable oils shows high lubricity,high oxidation stability and high flash point. These properties of vegetable oils make it suitable as alternative to petroleum oil based lubricants. vegetable oil base lubricant posseses high lubrication properties and high biodegrability due to their low acid value. In present work we determine acid value of vegetable oils at higher temperatures as well as acid value of vegeble oil blends at higher temperatures.

Why is it important?
Vegetable oil base lubricant shows high biodegrability,high flash point and lower acid value. These properties of vegetable oils make it suitable candidate as an alternative to petroleum oil base lubricant. Use of petroleum oil base lubricant increases carbon,nitrogen and sulpher content in environment which causes global warming and acid rain effect. Global warming tremendously increses temperature of earth surface whIich increases level of sea water due to melting of ice in antartica. It is estimated that up to 2050 many contries in world may lock up in water due to rising in water level of seas and oceans.In present research work we give ecofrindly alternative to petroleum oil base lubricnts.
Perspectives
This article provide way for the use of vegetale oil as lubricant. It is great pleasure for me to perform this work and its results.
