What is it about?

During the Covid-19 pandemic, some students are left behind and fail to follow the learning even before starting. For someone with a cognitive obstacle, the primary learning topics will not be completely understood. Therefore, identifying and studying someone's cognitive obstacles is essential to design a proper approach. This research is a case study conducted on 10 participants in a geometric transformation course. The result identifies participants' cognitive obstacles, that is, an obstacle of prerequisite knowledge; obstacle on gathering conclusion only from sketches; and obstacle by inappropriate generalization. The study also suggests that a proper approach can overcome cognitive obstacles. It will also notice that the instructors perform different individual treatments in some cases.
