What is it about?
In this work we have proposed a novel design of micro channel heat sink. The objective was to achieve improved thermo hydraulic performance. In other words, the aim was to increase the heat transfer capacity of the heat sink as well as reduce the pressure drop.

Why is it important?
Our micro-channel design includes converging-diverging channels with a porous fin which enables cross flow cooling. There is a no similar micro-channel design in the literature. We have been able to find the optimum converging-diverging angle and fin porosity for the maximum performance.
Perspectives
This article was truly a joint collaborations and was result of an excellent teamwork. I hope that this work could have an effect specially on future cooling technologies.
