What is it about?
We show that bursting - a common behavioral pattern of neural cells - can occur also in situations with the stable state. In that case bursting is caused by random disturbances, and has a transient character. We demonstrate, both in numerical simulations and through measurements in the analog circuit, that duration of this transient obeys the exponential law.
