What is it about?
The paper proposes a new variational principle that allows us to derive Schrodinger Equation based on stochastic motions and relative entropy between forward and backward path configurations. It also connects the variational approach with Fisher information and resolved a mystery in stochastic mechanism that multiple Lagrangian functional can lead to the same results.

Why is it important?
The paper brings new perspective on how information measure can play a fundamental role in a first principle based on variational method. It provides new insight on how to enhance stochastic mechanics to describe a quantum system, through expanding the degree of freedoms compared to classical mechanism. This insight is expected to allow one deriving more advanced theory such as Dirac equation from similar variational approach.
