What is it about?
The present study provides visualization outcomes for an “ion wind” interacted low subsonic impinging jet and checking the feasibility of commercially available ion generator as an active flow control device.

Why is it important?
The results showed a prominent effect of ion wind on the low subsonic impinging jet that included preponement of the wall jet vortex shedding, initial instabilities etc.
Perspectives
The study is cost effective and a great way to infer a complex physics in a feasible and practical manner.
