What is it about?
CFD study has been done to check out the effect of different types of non-newtonian fluids on pressure drag, friction drag and on total drag when fluid flows over an arched roughened cylinder.

Why is it important?
Arc roughness has been provided on the outer surface of the circular cylinder. By providing roughness we can increase the heat transfer between the cylinder and fluid. This paper is the first step towards our research in which discussion is done on the effect of roughness on Drag coefficients.
Perspectives
I think it's a good area for research especially for chemical industries where heat exchangers are used.
