What is it about?
For a perfect or completely disorderes (random) cylinder/ring like geonetry electrons with hubbard interaction are already established. But a cylinder with half ordered and half disordered shows ordered to disordered transition of persistent charge current with respect to disordered strength when the cylinder encloses constant AB magnetic flux \phi. Interplay between onsite hubbard interaction and disordered strength makes the transition point more interesting.

Why is it important?
This structure shows that though one part of the geometry is subjected to random disorder it shows order to disorder transition in charge current as a function of disordered strength. We have shown the distinct effect of this phenomena with respect to perfectly ordered and completely disordered cylinder. There is a competition between onsite hubbard interaction which tries to repel second electron in the same site and random disorder that tries to pin the electron in those sites. Depending on the winning factor current increases or decreases.
Perspectives
This is indeed an interesting work because of the ordered disordered transition in this structure. For lower disordered strength disordered part is strongly coupled to ordered one that decreases the current all total but for higher disordered strength ordered part is completely decoupled from the disordered one that increases the current.
