What is it about?
The effects of the IPL therapy device on tissue-mimicking material were investigated in this study. Our aim here is to determine how much heat effects the rays from the IPL therapy device create in the phantom.

Why is it important?
We searched and showed that the IPL therapy device used and sold in the market at the moment is safe for daily use.
Perspectives
What we did in this study was basically to show that phantom / tissue-mimicking material studies can be used as a tool for safety testing of light-based devices (LED, IPL, and Laser). And we showed that we achieved this goal.
