This work attempts to mimic turns during gliding of flying snakes solely by making asymmetric undulations of its body.

Why is it important?

Militaries are interested in unconventional Micro Aerial Vehicles to evade detection. In arboreal terrains, mimicking a flying snake could be usrful for this purpose. This work investigates the possibility of varying the undulation pattern of the snake for turn control.
