What is it about?
Attosecond pulses can be characterized in time by photoionizing a bound electron wave packet in an atom.

Why is it important?
It is demonstrated that the technique does not suffer from measurement induced delays which are present in other attosecond pulse charcterization techniques. This allows for more accurate pulse characterization to be performed.
