Tracking shocked dusty plasma particles

What is it about?

We outperformed state of the art accuracy for tracking individual particles in a dusty plasma. This is important for accurate estimation of physical properties for this toy molecular system.

Why is it important?

Implementing our tracking algorithm will increase the accuracy of dynamic state estimation for dusty plasma experiments, as compared to the previous state of the art: particle tracking velocimetry.
