Impact testing of wood specimens under current code.

What is it about?

Experimental testing to see how well fiberglass reinforcing or rubber damping can improve the mechanical behaviour of wood under impact.

Why is it important?

It was important for the wood science field to realize the limitations of the current testing standards, which, are not adequate for evaluating the properties of wood with treatments at such small scales.
