Why is it important?
I continue to teach this same approach, since 2010, for Library Juice Academy, a well-regarded professional development company for librarians. I have taught more than a thousand library professionals to develop and manage metadata following the same guidelines in this article.
Perspectives
My approach to metadata is model-based and somewhat unique. The success of my own metadata intiatives and of my many students is the test of this approach.
