What is it about?
Financing of tertiary education is a topical issue in most countries, much more so in sub Saharan Africa where most universities were relying on their governments to finance every aspect of the education system. In recent years it has become unsustainable and cost sharing and privatization of public institutions have become popular among policy makers. This chapter looks at the Malawi tertiary education system and makes recommendations on how to change the sector from its inefficient current state to a more efficient regime.

Perspectives
This is a very insightful chapter. some of the recommendations that were made in this book have already been implemented, whether directly from reading the book or a coincidence, it is great to see how useful the chapter was, and continues to be
