Being old in Scotland in photographs

What is it about?

Older people documented what it’s like to be old in Scotland using art photography. Most people didn’t have the cultural capital to engage with photography, espciallly the older women from a working class background and the Chinese elders. The project was as much about enskilling them in photography as it was about documenting their experiences. Class, gender, culture shone through in their concerns and experiences.
