Why is it important?

Although several comprehensive warm-up programs are performed for preventing injuries, these comprise several kinds of exercises involving dynamic stretching and balance, strength, neuromuscular and plyometric training. Trunk stabilization exercises are also often included in these programs. Previous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of comprehensive injury prevention programs. However, there has yet to be a study investigating the injury preventive e ects of trunk stabilization exercises alone. This is problematic because it is important to isolate and clarify the role of trunk stabilization exercises in the injury prevention.
