What is it about?
Avulsion injury of the abducens nerve following a trivial fall is extremely rare. This injury presents clinically with diplopia and manifests as lateral rectus palsy.

Avulsion injuries of Cranial nerves is a very rare entity. Abducens nerve palsy is very commonly seen in neurosurgical practice. Suspicion of avulsion injury is very important as early correction of esotropia may be helpful in prevention of long term complications
