What is it about?
Minimally invasive aortic valve surgery through the right anterior minithoracotomy is feasible, can be safely performed without the risk of increased morbidity and mortality. There is a learning curve for RAT-AVR surgery, which is reflected by a lower rate of perioperative surgical complications, a reduced number of conversions to median sternotomy and reduced length of aortic cross clamp, CPB and entire operation after time and increased experience.
