What is it about?

neutrophil rich CD30+ primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (PCALCL) is one of the histological variants of this type of lymphoma. This variant may be misdiagnosed as an inflammatory dermatosis with difficulty in histopathoogical diagnosis.

Why is it important?

we focused on a rare histologic variant of PCALCL. It showed similar clinical picture or behavior. The main difference was microscopically. Histologically, diagnosis of the neutrophil rich variant of PCALCL is challenging especially when tumor cells were masked by extensive inflammatory infiltrate. The main difficulty is that it may be misdiagnosed as an inflammatory dermatosis.
