What is it about?
Hot Biopsy Forceps Polypectomy is blamed for a high percentage of complications and for a relatively low efficiency. Explanation lies in misunderstanding of the physics of high frequency currents. Superficial coagulation needs an intense current with a short application time, avoiding any perforation, especially if partial sucking off and tenting are associated.

Why is it important?
HBFC is quick easy and cheap. It fits perfectly the destruction of numerous polyps between 3 and 10 mm, providing an adapted technique.
Perspectives
I have performed approximately 30,000 HBFP with a single pinhole perforation which leaded to elaboration of this technique (an no significant bleeding). It could ease practice because cold biopsy is not so efficient and other methods are more time-consuming and expensive.
