What is it about?
This is a case report of a 70-year old man with chest pain. In PET/CT and bone scan a thymus carcinoma was diagnosed with multiple metastases in the lungs, pleura, lymph nodes, and bone. Histology and immunhistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis.

Why is it important?
Thymus carcinoma belongs to the rarest human neoplasias. In PET/CT it can be easily mistaken for lymphoma, hemangioma or mediastinal seminoma.
