What is it about?

The best multirotor flies further and/or longer for a given payload. We try to identify the best multirotor condiguration (in terms of rotor and engine selection, configuration and battery size) for a given mission scenario and payload weight and energy consumption.

Why is it important?

Multirotor platforms are usually designed according to empiric good practices from experienced users. We propose a sizing tools based on sound physical facts and a reaistic battery discharge model.

Perspectives

We hope that a knowledge based approach to multirotor platform design will help in providing the market with better vehicles, sized for the mission they are designed for. The vehicle is built around the mission, not adapted to it.
