Why is it important?
Antioxidant enzymes and obesity play a significant impact in the development of infertility in women. Obesity can lead to hormonal abnormalities and oxidative stress, which has a detrimental effect on fertility. Antioxidant enzymes help neutralize reactive oxygen species and reduce oxidative stress.
Perspectives
It was a pleasure to write this article because it includes a solution to the problem of unexplained infertility. It also leads to rare disease groups contacting me and ultimately to greater involvement in rare disease research.
